There is a fun new drink in my life that I really like… For many health enthusiasts it’s no newbie, but for me it was – or I did know the drink very well, but had never tasted it.

Well what’s the amazing drink? It is KOMBUCHA! I think even the name is nice and groovy. And for all you finns out there reading this,  I think it has a taste little similar to sima (at least I think so). But it’s way better for you, cause it is a real probiotic boost in a bottle!

Here’s a little info for you who don’t know what the heck all this kombucha joy is about (from Kombucha Wonder Drink):

“…Kombucha’s roots go back centuries. Wise men would descend from high in the Himalayas to harvest spring tea in the valley below. According to a formula passed down from generation to generation, the tea was fermented to create an effervescent elixir said to restore health, promote longevity and bestow mental clarity to all who drank it.*

Today, Kombucha Wonder Drink is made in the same way, only with an added benefit: Each small batch goes through a proprietary process that eliminates alcohol and unwanted bacteria. All that’s left is pure kombucha and the naturally occurring acids that give it its power.”

And here’s some serving suggestions from Synergy‘s site:

“Serving Suggestions

  • Try one in the morning instead of coffee.
  • Have one an hour before your workout.
  • Sip it throughout the day for sustained energy.
  • Drink it with or without a meal to help control your appetite.
  • Drink one now! You’ll feel better.”

So quite a drink! And in my opinion, it is one of those things that’s very yummy and a bit weird at the same time. Kinda like some weird but still very nice people, hehee…. But try the kombucha, and see if you’ll be addicted like me…

Ps. Here’s a site in finnish that will tell you more about kombucha for you finnish readers (+ a recipe in finnish found here)
